Whether you're planning your first round, looking to improve your course strategy, or simply want to see what lies ahead, this guide takes you through every hole of the course, from tee to green.

Explore each hole to discover its layout, key features, hazards and playing challenges, along with helpful tips to help you plan your shot and choose the right strategy. From the opening tee shot to the final green, our walkthrough gives you a closer look at what makes Dymock Grange a rewarding and enjoyable course to play.

Take a look around, familiarise yourself with the course, and start planning your round before you even arrive.

Hole 1

The 1st hole offers the first par 5 challenge at 431 yards from the yellow tees. The tee box feels narrow with the road on the left bordering the 9th hole and out of bounds field on the right. However, the fairway opens up dramatically further up and eventually curls to the right in a dog leg, with the hedge line hiding the green.​

Favour the right hand side on your drive, trusting the hedge to fall off to the right.

Hole 2

This beautifully set par 3 requires strong distance and control to make par at 188 yards from the yellow tees. The hole is framed by a pond to the left and a line of bushes to the right lead all the way down to the green.

​

The green favours a chip on with a slight uphill incline, so laying up is an option instead of trying to make the green in one.

Hole 3

A blind 322 yard par 4 over the hill offers the challenge of distance control, bearing in mind how far the ball will run down the hill. The hole sits at the bottom of the hill to the left, defended by a bunker on the near side.

Before teeing off - beware of players finishing off on the 8th green to the left.

Hole 4

Firing over the hill from the yellow tees, this 305 yard par 4, opens into a generous fairway, favouring the right side. A careful approach shot is needed with the green falling away on the left into the water hazard.

​

Before teeing off - check ahead to be sure the fairway is clear.

​

The red tees sit up on the rise just ahead looking down the fairway.​​

Hole 5

This 123 yard par 3 offers little room for coming up short. Between each set of tees is a large water hazard leading right up to the green.​​

​

Going long offers two bunkers at the back of the green.

​

Check before your swing if anyone is finishing up on the 7th green through the trees to the left.

Hole 6

A forgiving 290 yard par 4, the 6th hole opens to a generous fairway. There is a small channel half way down flanked by large trees.

​

The green is slightly elevated a little to the left and has a ridge through the middle making puts up and down it treacherous.

Hole 7

Coming back parallel to the 6th, the 302 yard par 4 hole 7 provides a different challenge. The straight, wide fairway ends with the green set back in a peninsula surrounded by water hazards. Accuracy is needed to thread that needle.

The overhanging trees on the right off the tees can make club selection difficult.

Hole 8

This 480 yard par 5 8th hole is the longest of the round. The small climb to the hole makes it feel longer. A generous fairway opens up from the tee area and players will note the very large trees that act as sentinels to this hole. Positioning is key to having a shot to the hole.

The canal crossing acts as the final obstacle before reaching the spacious but challenging green.

Hole 9

A 360 yard par 4 awaits on the final hole. A raised tee box to drive from with the fairway retreating downhill slightly to the right offers good distance chances. Several large trees border the length of the hole and the green is found bordered by trees and bushes, punishing a long approach.
